The level 1-4 competition season is behind us and now we are working hard for the level 5-olympic competition season, which gets under way with the APN team invitational on August 2. Teams can be 2, 3 or 4 people and may be boys, girls or mixed. There are cash prizes!!!Other clubs have been invited to participate. All levels are welcome, so if there are any level 1-4 gymnasts who would like another comp, please see me. In addition, a competition new to KZN will be held on the same day. It is called the Naledi Cup competition and is a girls’ team competition for schools. Girls participate in teams of 4, from either a Primary school or a High school. The level 3 floor routine is used, as well as 2 springboard jumps, but there is no beam or bar. This means most schools could, in time, be part of this competition (as minimal equipment is necessary.) The pilot competition this year will be quite small, but it is hoped that the idea will catch on and more schools will become involved in the future. APN is training a team from Manor Gardens Primary and a team from Carrington Heights Primary, so come along and see the action! |

APN Gymnastics Club welcome you to our homepage. Please bookmark this site and visit us often. There are plenty of great gymnastics related web sites out there, thus there is no point in re-inventing the wheel by duplicating their content. (I will however tell you where to find those sites) This site caters for anyone interested in gymnastics and more specifically the APN Gymnastics Academy. |

Welcome to the all new APN Gymnastics Club Website. We are still in the process of transferring the content from the old format to the new CMS format and should have it all tested and complete by the end of February 2008. The original site came into being on the 29 September 2004 - We hope that you will enjoy the news site and please feel free to mail any suggestions as to how this site could be improved |
